You can register for the prelims round on Unstop.
- We enforce no age-restriction for participation in SRMC. However, the syllabus of the exam makes it so that high school graduates and college students are most suited to participate.
- Do note that only participants below 25 years of age are eligible to win the cash prizes.
The competition will challenge participants on core areas of mathematics such as Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Combinatorics, Probability, and Logic. The problems will be based on concepts typically covered in high school (up to Grade 12) and first-year undergraduate mathematics, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving skills and conceptual intuition.
- Yes! We have a prize pool of ₹1 Lakh which will be awarded to the top three performing finalists!
- In case of ties, the prize will be split equally amongst the awardees.
SRMC is olympiad-style pure-math competition which takes inspiration from the likes of IMO and MAA Putnam. It takes place in two consecutive rounds:
- An online preliminary round which can be attempted from anywhere.
- An offline finals which will take place at the organising institutes.
- The prelims round will have numerical-type questions and will be conducted online on Unstop. Solutions are not expected and no partial marks will be awarded.
- The finals round will consist of a set of subjective questions with partial marking. A complete and rigorous solution/proof will be expected.

The primary organisers of SRMC are the Mathematics Club of IIT Madras and the Maths and Physics Club of IIT Bombay.
SRMC will be conducted in two consecutive rounds:
- The prelims round of SRMC will be online and can be attempted from anywhere. All that is required is a laptop and a stable internet connection.
- The finals round of SRMC will be conducted offline at the organising institutes (currently IIT Madras and IIT Bombay). We will assist you in travel and accommodation for the same.
No. The finals will be conducted only in an offline mode. We will try our best to schedule it during a holiday to prevent conflicts with other commitments. We will also assist in travel and accommodation for the finalists.
- The prelims round of SRMC will take place on 29th June.
- Tentatively, the finals will take place in end September.
We will do our best to assist (financially and otherwise) in both accommodation at the institute as well as any travel required to get to your closest centre.
